    Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County is looking for a motivated, compassionate, credentialed RVT to coordinate our Spay/Neuter Clinics for feral and stray cats.  The candidate must work well with others and act as a positive, public facing member of our team.

     

     

    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Coordinate all aspects of in house Spay/Neuter Clinics which provide low cost, high quality care for our clinic clients and their cats
    • Schedule, train and oversee all clinic volunteers, veterinarians and paid staff positions
    • Oversee, inventory, ordering and proper legal recording requirements for all clinic medical supplies
    • Oversee clinic operations on clinic day
    • Create, update and distribute as necessary clinic policy and procedure manuals
    • Calculate, record and distribute clinic statistics
    • Work with the Executive Director and staff to set and maintain the vision and goals for the FFSC spay/neuter program

     

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Interview, train, and oversee Clinic Volunteers & Staff
    • Schedule and conduct Clinic Volunteer Trainings as necessary
    • Schedule Clinic Volunteers/Vets/Techs for specific clinic days, shifts, and positions
    • Maintain Clinic Volunteer Applications/Waivers & Roster
    • Oversee all Clinic Volunteers – including effective communication, appreciation, motivation, and retention
    • Maintain all clinic equipment/supplies in good working order
    • Schedule routine equipment maintenance where necessary
    • Prepare for “overflow” support day of clinic (outside vet appointments)
    • Oversee clinic appointment scheduling
    • Maintain clinic client records
    • Update/Revise when necessary any client hand-outs instructions
    • Work with staff in fine-tuning policies/procedures regarding all aspects of s/n clinics
    • Assist with in house cat care
    • Work with foster and adoption staff on medical needs
    • Always represent FFSC in a professional, friendly manner

     

    SKILLS

    • A love and appreciation of cats – tame and feral
    • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
    • Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated
    • Able to work independently as well as with others
    • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
    • Ability to assess the health status of cats prior to anesthesia
    • Comfort with anesthetizing on your own when necessary
    • Feline health/medical knowledge

     

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREd

    • Credentialed RVT
    • Minimum of 1-2 years of shelter or non-profit experience

      

    HOURS/COMPENSATION

    40 hours per week – Non-Exempt Position – Hourly Compensation.

    Medical and dental benefit package.


    SUPERVISION

    The Spay/Neuter Clinic Coordinator will report directly to the Executive Director.
