Washington Square Veterinary Clinic is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated individual with little experience in the veterinary field.

In an effort to continue to provide quality care and excellent customer service in our new facility and growing practice, we are looking to create an additional part time position.

At this time we are seeking an individual who is driven to learn and grow within the position, and is willing to start at the very beginning level.  Initial duties and responsibilities to include:

• ·       Hospital maintenance
• ·       Patient restraint
• ·       Cleaning – floors, cages, equipment, etc.
• ·       Laundry
• ·       Caring for hospitalized patients under supervision
• ·       Assisting veterinary technicians and assistants
• ·       Assisting doctors

The only limitation to this position will be the candidate’s motivation and success.  As each duty is mastered you will become eligible to be trained in more advanced areas of expertise, including venipuncture, running in-house lab tests, organizing out-going lab tests, rooming patients and getting pertinent history, taking x-rays, preparing surgery packs, and more.
