Washington Square Veterinary Clinic is offering a unique opportunity for a motivated individual with little experience in the veterinary field for a part time position.

At this time, we are seeking an individual who is driven to learn and grow within the position and is willing to start at the very beginning level.  Initial duties and responsibilities to include:

• ·        Patient restraint
• ·        Cleaning – floors, cages, equipment, dog runs, etc.
• ·        Laundry
• ·        Caring for hospitalized patients under supervision
• ·        Assisting veterinary technicians and assistants
• ·        Assisting doctors

The only limitation to this position will be the candidate’s motivation and success.  As each duty is mastered you will become eligible to be trained in more advanced areas of expertise, including venipuncture, running in-house lab tests, organizing out lab tests, rooming patients and getting pertinent history, taking x-rays, preparing surgery packs, and more.
