VCA Tender Care Animal Hospital is hiring for an experienced veterinary assistant to join our team. We are a busy, three doctor practice, offering traditional Western veterinary care, as well as complimentary techniques, including acupuncture and chiropractic treatments. 

We are seeking an experienced veterinary assistant or cross trained assistant/receptionist to provide gentle, loving care to our patients and warm, friendly service to our clients. We pride ourselves on providing a homelike atmosphere and focus on reducing stress during our patients' visits. We would prefer an applicant who has experience drawing blood and urine samples, placing IV catheters, taking and developing radiographs, giving oral and injectable medications, preparing prescriptions, providing client education, performing dental polishing and scaling, and monitoring anesthesia. Good communication skills, attention to detail, and enthusiasm for team work are a must. 

Physical requirements include being able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and be on your feet for several hours at a time, standing, reaching, typing, bending, crouching, using stairs.

Must be available at least one weekend day per week.
Candidates must be over 18 years of age.
