I'm the Spay/Neuter Clinic Coordinator at Forgotten Felines (FFSC).

FFSC holds spay/neuter clinics once weekly (every Wednesday and one Monday per month typically the second Monday) for feral cats.  Typically, we spay 25-28 females and 15-25 at each clinic.  We have a spay team that consists of a Vet, a RVT and an assistant who prepares the females for surgery and performs the spay surgeries beginning at 8:00 a.m. out in our medical van.  Our neuter surgeries are performed in our clinic room at 10:30 a.m. at each clinic.

I'm wondering if there are any RVT’s in your organization who are interested in volunteering at our clinics.  Currently, I have a need in two areas.

    1. I'm looking for a RVT to volunteer to anesthetize the males in preparation for their neuter surgeries.  This is typically a 2 to 2-1/2 hour assignment that begins at 10:00 a.m.   I’d love if someone would want to come to every Wednesday clinic and our once per month Monday clinic, but I’m also happy to have commitments to just one clinic per month.

    1. I’m also looking for someone who would be interested in training to be a back up for Wednesday clinics and for to work all day at our once monthly Monday clinics as part of our Spay team.

Because we are a non-profit I’d really love to get someone who is able to volunteer in these positions, but I’m also willing to consider paying for services.

I’d sincerely appreciate if this request could be emailed out to your REVTAS distribution list.

I can be reached at 707-576-7999 or via email at ffnina@sonic.net

    Thanks!!!  Nina
